Vietnamese Lady 她來自胡志明市 (1992)

Một bộ phim tình cảm nhưng có nhiều biến động thời cuộc và cả những cảnh hành động. Bối cảnh Việt trong phim khá rõ, tuy vài chỗ còn ngô nghê. Cảnh đầu phim ở trên tàu làm v0minh tôi nhớ lại thời cảng Ba Son ở góc đường Tôn Đức Thắng, với nhiều tàu hoang neo đậu, và cả nhà hàng nổi ở bến Bạch Đằng. Phim kể về cuộc đời của một cô gái người Việt (nhưng do người Hàn đóng Yee Lee Gwok) phải đi lấy chồng Hong Kong (thay vì Đài Loan) bởi gia cảnh khốn cùng. Cha thì nợ nần, mẹ thì ốm đau, anh trai thì ở tù, đàn em thì nheo nhóc. Tuy cô lấy hồng nhưng trái tim cô vẫn đau đáu nhớ về chàng trai người Việt ở quê nhà. Cảnh có lẽ hay nhất của phim là cảnh cô viết lá thư về cho người yêu và bản nhạc sáo "The Lonely Shepherd" cất lên bởi nhạc sĩ Gheorghe Zamfir s4 gợi nhớ cho ai đã từng xem phim Kill Bill 1, khi đó chính là đoạn nhạc được chơi suốt khi giới thiệu phần credit của phim.
